NORTHERN SCANDINAVIA Map V0.99 FOR 1.22.X (STANDALONE)

ETS2 Northern Scandinavia v0.99 is a map mod for Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.22.

Let’s answer some important questions about this map and future releases:

Q: Why is the DLC Scandinavia required to use this map?
A: The DLC Scandinavia is required because the map uses models, prefabs, roads, tunnels, and other resources from it.

Q: Do I also need the DLC Going East if I have the DLC Scandinavia?
A: No, the DLC Going East is not required as the map does not use any models or prefabs from it.

Q: Is this map compatible with other map mods?
A: No, this map is not compatible with other map mods. It is a standalone map and has a different scale compared to the vanilla map of ETS2. The ETS2 map is in a scale of 1:19 (1:15 for UK), whereas this map is in a real-life scale of 1:1 with real-time hours.

Q: Can this map be made compatible with other map mods?
A: It is not possible to make this map compatible with other map mods. Making a new map in the same scale as the vanilla map would require leaving out many cities. It has been considered before but not succeeded.

Installation:
– Copy the files NorthernScandinavia-def.scs, NorthernScandinavia-map.scs, NorthernScandinavia.scs, and tzmap.scs to “Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod”
– Create a new profile if you don’t already have one for this map
– Activate the files NorthernScandinavia-def.scs, NorthernScandinavia-map.scs, NorthernScandinavia.scs, and tzmap.scs
– If you already have a profile with this map, activate the new provided file for v0.99, NorthernScandinavia.scs
– Set the game module to “NorthernScandinavia.mbd” instead of “europe.mbd” since this is a standalone map
– Complete your profile and select your city. Currently, Bodø and Fauske are available as headquarters.

Bugs fixed:
– Location of the map (sort of)
– Vegetation issue for 1.22 fixed

Bugs not fixed:
– Rain in the tunnels on the map
– Background map not added to the world map

New features and scenery upgrades (v0.98.9 for 1.21):
– Unrealistic area of Bodøtunnelen removed, no connection to a tunnel from Tverlandet Bridge
– Upgraded ferry port and added logistic buildings in Bodø
– Added Bodø railway terminal and Mørkved railway station
– Toll station near the ferry port upgraded to AutoPass
– Road area near Shell station in Bodø changed
– Road to Rønvik closed due to realism, trucks are not allowed to drive through it in real-life
– Destination signs across Bodø and other areas on the map added/changed
– Toll station near Tverlandet Bridge upgraded to only AutoPass
– Both intersections in Hunstad changed to traffic lights
– Scenery building of Volvo trucks at Bertnes
– Added MAN truck dealer in Rognan

– Updated west entrance of Bodøtunnelen (Bodø tunnel)
– Scenery upgrades near Rognan
– Minor scenery upgrades in Bodø
– Roadwork near company Ika Bohag in Bodø
