The TACHOGRAPH AETR V0.1A [PLUGIN] Mod is a small step towards driving in accordance with AETR regulations in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 game. In order to receive feedback from the plugin, the game.log.txt messages are utilized. The plugin generates messages every game minute, providing information on short rest stops, daily rest stops, and weekly rest stops.
To view these messages in the game, you need to enable the consoles by editing the values in the main game’s config.cfg file. Additionally, the fatigue simulation in the game should be turned off. The “Driving time” is defined as the time when the truck is moving faster than 1 m/s or when the engine is on with the parking brake off.
The base version 0.1a of this plugin only controls short rest stops (45 or 15+30 minutes) and daily rest stops (11 or 3+9 hours). Other rules will be implemented in future updates. The weekly rest stop is currently set to 0:00 in version 0.1a.
It’s important to note that the plugin indicates how much driving time you have, rather than how much rest time is required. To determine the required rest time, you can move the time forward step-by-step and observe the changes in the allowed driving hours.
Please be cautious with stored information, as the plugin does not support multiple profiles. If you want to switch to a different profile, make sure to save the telemetry_tac.ini file from the old profile. New profiles may overwrite or delete the tachograph info from the old profile.
The plugin is stable as long as you load a recent save file. Older saves may delete the stored tachograph information. You can find the download links for the x86 and x64 plugin versions in the provided links. Simply place the DLL files in the “plugins” folder.
