NORTHERN SCANDINAVIA STANDALONE MAP BETA V0.961 is a new version of the map that addresses some reported bugs. The updated version now includes the prefabs file to FLD as well. The fixed bugs include an invisible wall on the road between the tollgate and the intersection to N. Hunstadmoen/Ø. Hunstadmoen, an invisible wall at the Shell gas station in Fauske near the truck dealer, an invisible wall at the truck dealer in Bodoe, a sign that was moved from the road at a cross in Vikan/Tverlandet, and a company without a name in Bodoe that caused the game to crash but no longer does. However, some bugs, such as the activation issue at the truck dealer in Fauske and several bugs in Aa and Tind, remain unresolved due to the incomplete nature of these areas on the map.
It is important to note that this mod is not associated with the upcoming DLC to SCS or ProMods. The credits only go to the prefabs FLD has provided, as they are part of the ProMods team.
The cities included in this version and the next version (v1.0) are Bodø, Tverlandet, Saltstraumen, Fauske, Moskenes, and Å i Lofoten. It should be mentioned that this is still a work in progress map, with some areas yet to be finished.
In terms of compatibility, since it is a standalone map, it is not compatible with any other map mods. However, it is likely compatible with other mods, although it has only been tested with graphic mods. It can be used with both v1.15x and v1.16x versions of the game.
To install the mod, simply copy and paste the following files into the mod folder, located in Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod: NorthernScandinavia-def.scs, tzmap.scs, and NorthernScandinavia-map.scs. Then, start a new profile, create your profile information, and activate the mentioned files. Finally, set the game module to Test1.mdb, rather than europe.mdb, to avoid crashing.
