SOUND FIXES PACK V11.10

The SOUND FIXES PACK V11.10 for ETS2 is a mod that enhances the stock sounds in Euro Truck Simulator 2, making the gameplay more immersive and realistic. With this mod, the simulation experience is taken to a whole new level.

Here’s what’s new in version 11.10:

1. FROSTY WINTER WEATHER SOUND ADDON: This update includes compatibility with the “snow on wiper” sound for more truck mods. You can find more information about this in the Mod Manager’s mod info tab.

2. GAMEPLAY / UI: The garage door sound has been reworked for better quality.

The mod features several improvements and additions:

1. INTERIOR SOUNDS: The volume of interior stick sounds, such as releasing the parking brake and using the blinker stick lever, has been increased. The sounds for various interior sticks and switches, like the parking brake, hazard light switch, retarder stick, blinker stick, and light switch, have been replaced with real sounds from trucks. The “Late Music” has been replaced with the Nokia phone ringtone sound. The volume of this sound is dependent on the Music volume setting in the game. The retarder sound has been changed to a more realistic sound, complete with engine braking sound. The Driver Alert Support system sound has been installed in all trucks.

2. TIRES / TYRES: The mod introduces real interior and exterior tire sounds. The sounds of the tires resonating in the cabin will vary depending on your acceleration and speed, giving you a better sense of speed. Additionally, driving on dirt roads will now produce heavier gravel sounds.

3. ENVIRONMENT / MISCELLANEOUS SOUNDS: The sound of the wind from the cabin has been slightly increased when driving at high speeds. During heavy rain, you can now hear the pattering of rain on the windshield from inside the truck. The mod also includes the sound of vehicles passing by in the oncoming lane, giving a more realistic driving experience. The trailer coupling sound has been made more realistic, including the sound of the fifth wheel coupling and the connection of the trailer brakes. The lift axle sound now has a button press sound effect and fades out when the wheels are fully lifted or lowered. Train and airplane sounds have also been made louder.

4. SUSPENSION: The mod offers a more varied and enhanced simulation of suspension sounds. In the stock game, suspension sounds are only provided for tires, but this mod adds suspension sounds for the cabin, trailers, and tires. The swinging of the keys will only be triggered by hard impacts to the suspension, while medium impacts will cause the cabin to squeak. Light impacts will trigger suspension sounds for speed bumps or irregular roads.

5. GAMEPLAY / UI: The volume of the garage door sound has been reduced for a more balanced audio experience. The volume of the advisor message sound has also been reduced. The “Bing bong” chime now plays during the train and ferry loading screens.

6. COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS: The mod is compatible with all trucks, including mod trucks, and does not replace individual truck sounds. It can be used alongside other truck sound mods. The mod is also compatible with all maps and supports compatibility with Realistic Weather Sound 1.7.4. Both mods can be enabled simultaneously.

7. GEAR GRINDING: The mod includes a mix of stock amplified gear grinding sounds and new gear grinding sounds. These sounds can be heard when the transmission and gearbox have been abused.

8. FUEL / GAS STATION: When fuel is being added to the truck’s fuel tank, you will hear a classic/historic ding sound. The mod also adds real gas pump and fuel lid sounds, as well as a door close sound effect after refueling to a full tank.

9. AI TRAFFIC: AI traffic vehicles now have new horn sounds. Depending on the driver’s patience, a short or long honk may be used. AI traffic trucks and buses have also been given more variations of sounds, such as turbo sounds, engine sounds, and gear changes.

The mod offers several options that can be found in the Options folder when you download the pack. These options include disabling the Driver Alert Support sound, enabling police siren sounds (which activate when caught speeding), the Frosty Winter Weather Sound addon, and replacing the retarder with the Jacobs (jake) brake.

For installation, make sure the mod has a higher priority than mods with a game_data.sii file, such as map mods, to ensure correct operation of the pack. The mod is compatible with version 1.22.2 and has no errors in the game log. It is also backwards compatible with version 1.21.1.
