SOUND FIXES PACK V11.11 for ETS2

This mod enhances the default sounds in Euro Truck Simulator 2 to create a more immersive and realistic driving experience. It is essential for those looking for true driving pleasure!

What’s new in version v11.11:
– Wind sounds for high speeds are now linked to road noise for a more authentic experience
– Updated sound for the retarder stick
– Removed the option to replace the retarder with Jacobs brake, as realistic jake brake sounds will be available in American Truck Simulator

Mod Features:
1. INTERIOR SOUNDS:
– Increased volume for interior stick sounds (e.g. releasing parking brake, blinker stick lever)
– Authentic interior stick and switch sounds for parking brake, hazard light switch, retarder stick, blinker stick, and light switch (recorded from real trucks)
– Replaced the “Late music” with the sound of a Nokia phone ringtone. Please note that the volume of this sound depends on the Music volume setting in the game.
– Realistic retarder sound (accompanied by engine braking sound)
– Installed Driver Alert Support system sound on all trucks.

2. TIRES / TYRES:
– Realistic interior and exterior tire sounds. Tires will resonate in the cabin depending on your acceleration and speed, giving you a feel for your sense of speed.
– Heavier gravel sounds when driving on dirt roads

3. ENVIRONMENT / MISCELLANEOUS SOUNDS:
– Wind sound is slightly faster in the cabin at high speeds
– Sound of rain pattering on the windshield during heavy rain
– You can hear vehicles overtaking or passing you in the oncoming lane
– Trailer coupling sound is more realistic, including the fifth wheel coupling and the connection of the trailer brakes
– Sound of lifting axle now has a button press effect and fades out once the wheels are fully lifted or lowered
– Louder train and airplane sounds

4. SUSPENSION:
– More variation and enhanced simulation of suspension sounds. Default sounds only provide suspension sounds for tires, but this mod includes suspension sounds for the cabin, trailers, and tires
– Key swinging sound is triggered only by hard impacts to the suspension
– Squeaking of the cabin is triggered by medium impacts
– Speed bump suspension sounds or irregular road suspension sounds are triggered by light impacts

5. GAMEPLAY / UI:
– Reworked garage door sound with reduced volume
– Reduced volume of adviser message sound
– “Bing bong” chime for train loading screen sound and ferry loading screen sound

6. COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS:
– Compatible with all trucks, including mod trucks. Does not replace individual truck sounds
– Can be used simultaneously with other truck sound mods
– Compatible with all maps
– Can be used together with Realistic Weather Sound 1.7.4, which provides realistic thunder and rain sounds. Both mods can be enabled at the same time

7. GEAR GRINDING:
– Mix of stock amplified gear grinding sounds and new gear grinding sounds. Can be heard when the transmission and gearbox have been abused

8. FUEL / GAS STATION
– Classic/historic ding sound when adding fuel to the tank of your truck
– Realistic fuel pump, fuel lid sounds, door close, and key insertion sound effect after refueling to a full tank

9. AI TRAFFIC
– AI traffic vehicles have new horn sounds. The duration of the honk depends on the patience of the driver
– AI traffic trucks/buses have more variations in sounds (turbo, engines, gear changes)

Options for the Sound Fixes Pack:
– Disable Driver Alert Support sound
– Enable police siren sound (activates police sirens when caught speeding)
– Frosty Winter Weather Sound addon

These options can be found in the Options folder when you download the pack.
Note: To ensure the sound takes effect, enable the option with higher priority than the Sound Fixes Pack.

Installation:
– This mod should have a higher priority than mods with a game_data.sii file
– Failure to do so may result in the pack not functioning correctly.

Compatibility:

This mod is compatible and tested on version 1.22.2
There are no errors in the game log.
It is also backwards compatible with 1.21.1.
