SOUND FIXES PACK V11.7 For ETS2

This mod enhances the stock sounds in Euro Truck Simulator 2 to make them more immersive and realistic, taking the simulation experience to a whole new level.

Here are the new features in version 11.7:

1. FUEL / GAS STATION:
– Added a “door close” sound effect after refueling to a full tank.

2. GAMEPLAY / UI:
– The police sirens are now muted by default, eliminating the need for the “No police siren sound” mod.
– To activate the police sirens, enable the “Enable police sirens” mod in the Options folder with higher priority than the main mod.

3. ENVIRONMENT / OTHER:
– Louder train and airplane sounds.
– Improved sound quality of rain patter on windshield.
– Added a new option for frosty winter weather sounds (compatible with Frosty Winter Weather mod by grimes).

4. INTERIOR:
– Reworked retarder sound, reducing overpowering noise from the transmission whine and adding more sound of the engine braking system in conjunction with the transmission whine.
– Added a button press sound when activating the lift axle.

5. AI TRAFFIC:
– Updated, improved, and changed horns for AI traffic trucks and buses.

6. TIRES / TYRES:
– Made gravel sounds compatible with truck mods that have unique sound definitions.

This mod offers various features:

1. INTERIOR SOUNDS:
– Increased volume for interior stick sounds (releasing parking brake, blinker stick lever, etc.).
– Realistic interior stick and switch sounds (parking brake, hazard light switch, retarder stick, blinker stick, and light switch).
– Replaced the “Late music” with Nokia phone ringtone sound. The volume depends on the Music volume in the game’s Audio settings.
– Changed retarder sound to a real retarder sound with engine braking sound.
– Installed the Driver Alert Support system sound on all trucks.

2. TIRES / TYRES:
– Realistic interior and exterior tire sounds that resonate in the cab based on acceleration and speed, giving a sense of speed.
– Heavier gravel sounds when driving on dirt roads.

3. ENVIRONMENT / MISCELLANEOUS SOUNDS:
– Wind sounds faster from the cabin at high speed.
– Pattering of rain on windshield audible inside the truck during heavy rain.
– Slight sound of vehicles overtaking or passing in the oncoming lane.
– Realistic trailer coupling sound.
– Button press sound for lift axle with fade out effect.
– Louder train and airplane sounds.

4. SUSPENSION:
– Variation and enhanced simulation of suspension sounds for cabin, trailers, and tires.
– Key swinging sound triggered by hard impacts to the suspension.
– Squeaking cabin sound triggered by medium impacts.
– Speed bump or irregular road suspension sounds triggered by light impacts.

5. GAMEPLAY / UI:
– Reduced volume of garage door and adviser message sounds.
– Added “bing bong” chime for train and ferry loading screen sounds.

6. COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER MODS:
– Compatible with all trucks including mod trucks, without replacing individual truck sounds.
– Can be used simultaneously with other truck sound mods.
– Compatible with all maps.
– Supports compatibility with Realistic Weather Sound 1.7.4 (realistic thunder and outside rain sounds).

7. GEAR GRINDING:
– Mix of stock amplified gear grinding sounds and new gear grinding sounds triggered by abused transmission and gearbox.

8. FUEL / GAS STATION:
– Classic/historic ding sound while fueling.
– Real gas pump and fuel lid sounds with a door close sound effect after refueling.

9. AI TRAFFIC:
– AI traffic vehicles have new horn sounds, with short or long honks depending on the driver’s patience.
– AI traffic trucks and buses have more variations of sounds (turbo, engines, gear changes).

The mod offers options such as disabling the Driver Alert Support sound, enabling police siren sound (activates when caught speeding), frosty winter weather sound addon, and replacing the retarder with Jacobs (jake) brake. These options can be found in the Options folder.

Remember to enable the desired option with higher priority than the Sound Fixes Pack for the sound to take effect.

Installation instructions:
– Make sure the mod has higher priority than mods with a game_data.sii file (e.g. map mods) for correct operation.
– Compatible and tested on version 1.22.2 with no errors in the game log.
– Backwards compatible with 1.21.1.
