TRESCO DEF MOD V1.2 ETS2
The “Tresco Def Mod” modifies the economy and traffic behavior of the game.
First of all, I want to mention that this mod is not easy to play with.
You may experience a lot of frustration and may even break your fingers, but my goal was to make the game’s behavior more realistic.
As a driver, you need to be attentive at all times as profits are not high and expenses such as fuel, damage, and fines can greatly reduce them.
As a company owner, you need to pay attention to your drivers’ performance and how they develop their skills.
The mod tries to have values that are as close to reality as possible in certain aspects:
– Bank interest rates
– Ferry connection prices, distances, and durations
– Fuel prices
– Euro foreign exchange reference rates
– Prices for trucks as a whole vehicle
– Salaries for drivers
I have made some changes that deviate from reality, otherwise, you would have to play for 3 real years before being able to afford your first truck :):
– When you have your own truck, the price of your deliveries is 10 times higher than normal
– Bank loans, amounts, and credit limits are not realistic
– The correlation between police fines and revenue is not accurate
– The correlation between prices for truck parts in order to achieve a realistic price for the whole truck
– The correlation between maintenance, insurance, and other economy parameters with revenue
The mod also changes the traffic behavior, although it is still a work in progress.
– Traffic changes every 30 minutes
– There are two high traffic time periods during the day:
– Between 05:30 and 10:30, with the highest traffic between 08:00 and 08:30
– Between 15:30 and 20:30, with the highest traffic between 18:00 and 18:30
– There is one low traffic time period during the night:
– Between 22:00 and 03:00, with the lowest traffic between 00:30 and 01:00
– The rest of the hours have average traffic
How to use:
The mod needs to be at the top of the load order.
Mod Testing
Tested on 1.28.3.2s without any other mods.
If you want to test your own strategies, use the “Fast Testing Mod” from the archive.
How to use the “Fast Testing Mod”:
– Place this mod above the “Tresco Def Mod”
– Change the value of the experience required for leveling up if desired. Default is 500 xp
– Move your truck outside of cities to make the game time run faster (1 hour outside equals approximately 2 hours inside, visually estimated :))
– Use the warp console command:
– Slower speed warp (0.01-0.99)
– Normal speed warp 1.00
– Faster speed warp (1.01-60.00)
– You can write “warp 100000000” but the maximum warp is 60.00
Some advice for starting:
First, use your skill points for experience income (level up as fast as you can)
Now, depending on how quickly you expect to acquire a truck:
– Long time: use skill points first for distance
– Medium time: use skill points in any combination
– Short time: use skill points to reach all levels for fuel consumption economy (the game is very sensitive to fuel price, refer to my test values)
Acquire your own truck as soon as possible (choose your trucks wisely, as refunds are only 50% of the original price)
Pay off your loans
For future development, keep in mind:
– Garage and upgrade prices: 60,000, 40,000
– Truck prices: 45,000-55,000 minim for the stock offered
– Driver prices: 1,000 to hire, and salaries start from 600 per week (~2,500 per month)

I haven’t encountered any reasons for errors with ProMods 2.20, but I haven’t tested it yet
