SCANIA R 8X4 V1.0 Truck

The SCANIA R 8X4 V1.0 Truck is a modified version of the Scania R 8×4 truck that is designed for transporting overweight cargoes. This mod has been adapted to work with patch 1.19 – 1.20 of Euro Truck Simulator 2.

The mod is based on the “Scania 2500HP engine + Chassis 8×4” mod that was released over two years ago. Special thanks to Mauricio Pietro for providing the base for this mod.

The following changes have been made to the original mod:

• The truck can now be purchased in the showroom.
• The truck is available for use in company contracts.
• New real tuning engines have been added, including the DC12 15 420 HPI 11.7 Euro 5, DC13 10 440 XPI 12.7 Euro 5, and DC13 07 480 XPI 12.7 Euro 5 engines.
• Real gearbox options, such as the GRSO 925 and GRSO905R, have been added.
• The truck now features branded “Scania” headlights.
• A camouflage skin has been added to the truck.

The gearbox ratios and drive axle values have been adjusted to reflect real-world values. The rest of the truck’s specifications have also been adjusted to be as realistic as possible.

In the game, transmission ratios and drive axles are registered in a single file. As a result, multiple transmissions with different gear ratios had to be created to accommodate the different differential gear ratios. This means that you can easily carry heavy cargo with a less powerful engine. The higher the differential ratio (D), the more torque the truck has but the lower its top speed.

In addition, the mod also includes addon trailers from Jazzycat, such as the Cargo Packs v3.41, Military Cargo Pack v.1.61, and Railway Cargo Pack v1.61. These addons increase the weight of over 100 cargoes. The main mods can be downloaded from the author’s website.

The SCANIA R 8X4 V1.0 Truck has been tested on versions 1.19 – 1.20 of Euro Truck Simulator 2.

Since there is no mention of any restrictions or copyright issues with modifying and publishing this mod, it is assumed that there are no violations in doing so.
