SOUND FIXES PACK V14.1 ETS2

The pack aims to enhance the sound experience in Euro Truck Simulator 2 by improving and making the sounds more realistic and immersive.

In version 14.1 of the pack, the following updates have been made:

• Reduced the volume of the hum from the tire noise on asphalt or tarmac
• The AI traffic cars from Jazzycat’s packs that are towing a load will no longer produce semi-truck sounds in the ETS2 edition
• Increased the volume of the rumble strip sound
• Added a new forest/country ambience sound for non-city areas, giving a light breeze feeling

The features of the pack include:

• Realistic asphalt tire sounds that resonate based on your acceleration speed and gear
• Enhanced gravel sounds when driving on dirt or gravel roads
• Expanded range of suspension sounds from just tire suspension to include cabin, trailer, and tire suspension
• Triggered sounds for light impacts on speed bumps or irregular road surfaces
• Squeaking cabin sound for medium impacts
• Sound of a key swinging for very hard impacts
• Replaced the “Late music” with the sound of a Nokia phone ringtone (volume depends on the in-game music settings)
• Added “Bing bong” chime for train and ferry loading screens
• Improved garage door sound and adjusted its volume
• Reduced the volume of the adviser message sound
• Slightly reduced the volume of the yawn sound for fatigue simulation
• Added classic/historic ding sound during fuel pumping to indicate refueling amount
• Realistic fuel pump, fuel lid, door close, and key insertion sound effects after refueling
• Mix of stock amplified gear grinding sounds and new gear grinding sounds for damaged transmission and gearbox
• Increased volume for interior stick sounds, such as parking brake and blinker stick lever
• Real stick/switch/button sounds for parking brake, hazard light, blinker/indicator/turn signal, and light switch
• Changed the retarder sound to a real retarder sound
• Added button press sound effect for lift axle sound
• Included real sound effect for trailer coupling and trailer brake connection
• Installed Driver Alert Support system sound on all trucks (exclusive to ETS2)
• Updated horn sounds for AI traffic vehicles
• Added more variations of sounds for AI traffic trucks and buses, including turbo, engines, and gear changes
• Improved motorcycle engine sounds for Jazzycat’s AI traffic pack
• Motorcycles now rev the engine instead of using the car horn when blocked
• Slight sound of vehicles overtaking or passing by in the oncoming lane
• Wind sounds slightly faster from the cabin at high speeds
• Audible pattering of rain on the windshield inside the truck during heavy rain
• Enhanced soundscape for prefabs in American Truck Simulator (e.g., company and delivery points)
• Louder volume and reworked audio for biplanes, trains (including train horn), helicopters, cable cars, and Boeing planes

The pack is compatible with ETS2 version 1.23.0 and ATS version 1.1.1. It is also forwards compatible with ATS version 1.2. The mod does not produce any errors in the game log and is fully stable. It works with all trucks, including mod trucks, and can be used with any truck sound mods. It is also compatible with all maps and supports compatibility with Realistic Weather Sound 1.7.4, which provides realistic thunder and exterior rain sounds. Both mods can be enabled at the same time. For those who find the wind and tire noise too loud, the volume can be configured using developer commands.
